Backone connects directly to the cloud storage providers you configure (such as Amazon S3 or Backblaze B2). Your data is transmitted directly from your computer to these services. The privacy and security of your data within these storage services is governed by your agreement with these providers.
We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of your chosen cloud storage provider to understand how they handle your data.
Your cloud storage credentials (access keys, secret keys, etc.) are stored securely on your local device using macOS's secure keychain system. These credentials are never transmitted to our servers.
If you contact us via email for support or feedback, we will use your email address only for responding to your inquiries and improving our product. We will never sell or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the bottom of this page and, if the changes are significant, we may provide a more prominent notice.
